Depart your home city today for Aspen, Colorado.  For those who have made their flight arrangements through TLG Travel, or have given us your flight schedule,  ground transportation will be provided by the St. Regis Aspen Resort from the Aspen airport to the St. Regis. The trip from Aspen Airport to the St. Regis is approximately 10 minutes.  Upon arrival at the hotel, you will check-in and get settled. Relax and enjoy the convenient location of this hotel, situated just steps from the mountain and the town. This evening, there will be a Welcome Reception in the hotel.

A fabulous day of skiing awaits you.  Your 5 day lift ticket (included in your package) includes 5 days that allows skiing at Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk  and Snowmass and begins today.  Local Rotarians will be escorting tours at Aspen Highlands and Snowmass.  For the foodies among us, there will be a walking tour with stops at seven Aspen restaurants for tastings. For those who have pre-registered, this evening will be home hospitality.  (This event is free, but requires pre-registration.)

A glorious day of skiing awaits you on the mountain. Local Rotarians will be escorting tours at Aspen Mountain and Aspen Highlands.  Love powder? An optional Powder Ski Tour will be offered. Luxury snowcats will take you to prime untracked stashes on the backside of Aspen Mountain. Advanced skiers and boarders will average 10,000 vertical feet of ungroomed wilderness skiing over 1,100 acres.  Terrain selected will depend on daily snow conditions and group’s skill level.  This evening, the Annual Meeting and optional light dinner will take place at historical Wheeler Opera House in Aspen. The meeting will be followed by an engaging and inspirational speaker.

This morning we will be joined at breakfast by our hosts, the Aspen Rotary Club and Snowmass Village Rotary Club .(no additional charge if staying at St. Regis) Today is the Peak to Valley Vertical Challenge in Snowmass led by local Rotarians and with participation by Challenge Aspen volunteers and clients. For non-skiers you can choose the historical tour of Aspen. Tonight will be an evening to dine in one of Aspen’s many great restaurants.  Suggestions will be provided.

Thursday February 3, 2011
If skiing is not for you today, then perhaps you would like to visit Glenwood Springs and tour the Fairy Caves by foot (or if you are adventurous, crawl your way through with a guide), try the Alpine Slide, check out an old time movie and after lunch, take in a soak at the famous Glenwood Hot Springs or head to the Yampa Vapor Caves for a steamy experience.  For those who enjoy comparing the tastes and exploring other virtues of fine Scotch, there will be an optional special tasting at happy hour today given by the fellows at  Pinnacle Distributors. A great way to end the day!

Another great day of skiing awaits you in Aspen.  For non-skiers, you can join us in clay shooting. Here’s a half day adventure that not many have tried. No experience is necessary. A short drive will take us to a private shooting range with all instruction and equipment. The emphasis is on fun and safety.  Winter Fly-fishing? Yes indeed, and you'll love it! During the winter months, Aspen's Gold Medal fisheries offer amazing high quality fishing entirely unique to this region. Mild winters, less angler pressure, and voracious fish make for an experience not to be missed.  All equipment is provided

Tonight you will have  dinner or your own, or you can go on an optional horse drawn sleigh ride, featuring dinner at the Pine Creek Cookhouse, an authentic log cabin, that is sure to create a magical evening under the stars. You also have the option to snow shoe or cross country ski to the cookhouse (all equipment, including miner’s lights are provided).

One last day of skiing awaits you on the mountain. Tonight will be the annual Gala Banquet in the exquisite ballroom at the St. Regis Hotel. Complete with a silent and live auction, the always popular dessert auction and fellowship among old and new friends, your last night in town promises to be exciting and enjoyable as we raise money for the Davis Boyd  Memorial Foundation!

Foodie Food Tour
A walking tour around downtown Aspen will include stops at seven Aspen restaurants for tastings, meeting the chef or owner and experiencing the inside operations of these local establishments. Don’t plan on lunch today! 10:45 am-2:15pm, $80 per person

Home Hospitality will be held this evening.  While there is no charge for this event, advance registration on this form is required so we can properly prepare. 5:45 pm

Powder Ski Tour
Love Powder? Take a Powder Ski Tour. Advanced skiers and boarders will average 10,000 vertical feet of ungroomed wilderness skiing over 1,100 acres on a part of Aspen Mountain unseen and untouched by all but a handful of snow-riders. Two guides and a driver will lead a snow cat group, selecting terrain according to daily snow conditions and the group’s skill level.  A hearty lunch is served in a cozy heated cabin in the heart of the Elk Mountains. 8:15 am all day, $399 per person

Annual Membership Meeting
This evening, the Annual Membership Meeting and light dinner will take place at the historic Wheeler Opera House in Aspen. Annual business of the fellowship will be discussed and an engaging and inspirational speaker will end the evening.  6:00 pm-9:00 pm,  $20 per person for dinner

Joint Rotary Breakfast
Join us for a Joint Rotary Breakfast meeting with our hosts, the Aspen Rotary Club and the Snowmass Village Rotary Club to be held at the St. Regis. While there is no charge for this event if you are staying at the St. Regis, advance registration on this form is required so we can properly prepare. 7:15 am-8:45am, $25 per person

Peak To Valley Challenge 
Bring your pledges to ensure an all-time high DBMF fundraiser as you ski the Peak to Valley Vertical Challenge with local Rotarians to guide you.  All abilities encouraged.  We are supporting CHALLENGE ASPEN, the local adaptive sports program this year.

Historical Tour of Aspen
We’ll ride to the Aspen Historical Museum, view “Postcards of the Past’ and learn about the people of Aspen yesterday and today. We will then go on a van for a tour of the historic West End area followed by lunch at the famous Hotel Jerome’s J-Bar, including a taste of their most popular drink, Aspen Crud. 10:00 am-2:00 pm, $105 per person

Glenwood Springs Excursion
We’ll travel by bus to Glenwood Springs, just a bit over an hour away.  We’ll ride the gondola to the top of the mountain and explore the caverns (walking tour for most, a crawling tour for the adventurous with equipment provided), ride the Alpine Slide, catch an old time movie and visit other attractions. Lunch is included. After lunch, there will be an option for those who want to soak in the famous Glenwood Hot Springs or enjoy the Yampa Vapor Caves to relax away the afternoon. The springs and vapor caves were used as a sacred place of healing for the Ute Indians. 9:45 am-4:30pm, $70 per person

Single Malt Scotch Tasting
For those who enjoy comparing the tastes and exploring other virtues of fine Scotch, we’ve arranged a special tasting by the fellows at Pinnacle Distributors. An exhilarating way to end your day! 5:00pm-6:30pm, $35 per person

Clay Target Shooting
Here’s a half day adventure that not many have tried and no experience is necessary.  We’ll take a short drive from Aspen to a private shooting range with all instruction and equipment included.  The emphasis is on fun and safety.  Skiing and clay shooting, all in the same week…who’d a thought? 10:00am-2:00pm, $210 per person

Fly Fishing
Winter Fly-fishing? Yes indeed, and you'll love it! During the winter months, Aspen's Gold Medal fisheries offer amazing high quality fishing entirely unique to this region. Mild winters, less angler pressure, and voracious fish, make for an experience not to be missed. All equipment and guides included. $260 per person

Sleigh Ride and Dinner
Enjoy the serenity of snow-capped peaks as the sun sets on another day.  Nestle under a warm blanket while a horse drawn sleigh takes you to Pine Creek Cookhouse for a spectacular dinner. This is sure to create a magical evening under the stars.  You can also choose to snowshoe or cross country ski instead of going by sleigh-all equipment is provided including miner’s lights 6:00pm, $150 per person


Terms and Conditions

Deposits and Payments: A deposit of $300 per person payable to TLG Travel should be made immediately to secure your space at the 2011 ISFR Ski Week.  All prices are discounted by 3% based on payments by check. Any payments by credit card (Visa, MasterCard or American Express) will be at a non-discounted rate.

The Price and What it Includes: The Ski Week Package includes: 7 nights hotel, taxes , porterage and resort fees at the St. Regis Aspen Resort in Aspen CO, transportation between the Aspen airport and the hotel, opening buffet reception, daily breakfast at the St. Regis, 5 day lift ticket , and Gala Banquet.  Please note the due dates for the deposit, as prices increase accordingly.

Prices are for registration forms received by October 2, 2010. For registration received between October 3 and November 30, 2010, add $25 per person.  For registration forms received December 1, 2010 or later, add $65 per person. Airline Transportation: Airfare is not included in the package cost.
TLG Travel is pleased to offer airline arrangements for Ski Week 2011 to all participants.  Please let us know if you are interested by filling out the air request on your registration form. One of our travel consultants will contact you with flight information.

Non-Skiers and Season Pass Holders: All non skiers may deduct $215 per non-skier from the package cost.

Travel Insurance: Tour Cancellation/Interruption Insurance is highly recommended. Information will be sent to you in your Welcome Packet after you register.

Single Reservation: Single reservations require an additional charge as indicated in the package pricing.

Final Payment: Payment of the final balance in U.S. funds is due by October 31, 2010.

Not Included: Air fare, meals (other than breakfast, Welcome Reception and the Gala Banquet), any optional activities as outlined in the Optional Tours listed above.

Baggage: General limitations are two 62” bags at no more than 50 pounds per bag.  Baggage fees may apply depending on airline used.  Ski equipment is considered by most airlines to be part of your normal baggage allowance.  Please contact your airline carrier for specific limitations.

Cancellations: Cancellations must be made in writing to our office at 111 Township Line Road, Jenkintown, Pa. 19046 or via email to isfr@tlgtravel.com.From the time of deposit until August 5, 2010, there is only a $50 administration penalty per person for cancellation.  From August 6, 2010, a $300 per person penalty will apply.  From November 1, 2010 through January 20, 2011, a 100% penalty will apply.

Refunds:  There are no refunds for any unused services or missed components of the trip.

Responsibility: Each passenger making reservations or   participating in Ski Week 2011 understands and agrees to all terms, conditions and limitations set forth in this brochure.  In endeavoring to make arrangements with various suppliers for services and accommodations described in this brochure, TLG Travel acts strictly as an agent for the  suppliers. TLG Travel, as agents, shall not be responsible or liable for, and expressly disclaims any responsibility for any costs, injury, expenses or damage to persons or property which results, directly or indirectly from any act, whether negligent or otherwise, of commission or omission, including but not limited to delays of any person, firm, or corporation which is to, or does provide products of services in connection with this trip. This also includes but is not limited to lodging, food and beverage, entertainment, luggage handling or escorting. TLG, in conjunction with ISFR, reserves the right to decline   participation in ISFR 2011 Ski Week  to any person for   non-receipt of scheduled payments as described in this   brochure, or for any other breach of terms and conditions as set forth herein. ISFR may deny participation if member is not in good standing with Rotary.
